2nd Annual Chey-town Throw-down!
The B.E.A.S.T. Foundation is hosting their second annual boxing match!
“Bringing Enrichment and Sports Together”, B.E.A.S.T. is Cheyenne’s only STEM-based after school enrichment program that includes technology, robotics, coding, homework support, and sports. The B.E.A.S.T. Foundation of Cheyenne is a 22,000 square foot multi-purpose facility offering a variety of sports courts – including, volleyball, basketball, and pickleball. Trade show, classroom, and reception space is also available.
The Southside Slugger’s Boxing Club is a non profit organization that is dedicated to fostering fitness, academic, and leadership skills specifically to at risk youth and young adults in Laramie County. Justin Cisneros, 23, is the co-owner of the club with his mother, Valerie Arias, who handles the majority of the fundraising and nonprofit status filing. Cisneros oversees the gym itself and helps coach. The nonprofit focuses around giving kids a free and safe environment to participate in a sport.
Come join B.E.A.S.T. and the Southside Slugger’s Boxing Club on June 15th at 2900 Sunflower Rd. for their second annual boxing chey-town throw-down! Weigh-ins will be held from 8 am – 10 am, physicals at 1 pm, and bouts begin at 2 pm. For pre-matching, contact Coach Matt Manzanares at 307-221-0269 or Ray Montoya at 307-630-2519.
Entry is $15 for adults and $10 for youth.
