Jack Bedessem Presented EBJ’s Lifetime Achievement Award
Story by Trihydro
Laramie, WY – Trihydro Corporation (Trihydro), a nationwide environmental and engineering consulting firm, is proud to announce that Jack Bedessem, Trihydro’s President and Chief Executive Officer from 2004 to 2020, was honored with the Environmental Business Journal’s (EBJ’s) Lifetime Achievement Award last week in San Diego, California as part of EBJ’s 2022 Environmental Industry Summit.
EBJ’s Lifetime Achievement Awards recognize individuals for their accomplishments in service to the environment or the environmental industry. Jack joined Trihydro in 1988 as employee number 12, holding numerous positions within the company throughout the years, including project engineer, project manager, vice president of engineering, chief finance officer (CFO), chairman of the board, and ultimately president/CEO. In 2020, Jack transitioned into a senior advisor role and continues to support special projects at Trihydro.
Under Jack’s leadership, Trihydro grew from 140 employees to nearly 500 employees with 21 offices nationwide. Throughout Trihydro’s growth, Bedessem maintained a corporate structure and culture predicated upon leaving things “better than you found it” – including client relationships, communities, and the environment. His legacy is an environmental firm committed to empowering people and conducting business the “right way.”
In an interview with EBJ following his award, Jack summarized what makes a career in the environmental industry so rewarding, “Working as an engineer in this business is fairly unique in that you have opportunities to remediate, enhance, protect, and preserve the environment, as well as improve human health and the quality of life. Given all the challenges we are facing today, job satisfaction and attempting to build a better place one project at a time should be a bright spot for us all.”
