Released today, August 18th, is the “Any Way The Wind Blows” compilation CD. It is featuring Forty-five Cheyenne-based musicians and music groups. Proceeds made from CD sales will go to the Cheyenne Youth Symphony.
According to a press release, “A partnership of Charitree Cheyenne, Arts Cheyenne and Ernie November, the music production and release features all-original music, written and performed by Cheyenne musicians from genres ranging from folk to hip-hop to metal. The upcoming release is on a 3-CD set, with cover art created by Cheyenne Carey Junior High School students.”
The 6th Annual Cheyenne Arts Festival begins this evening on Friday, August 18th in the Cheyenne Depot. The weekend of festivities will feature on stage some of the featured artists from the CD on Sunday, August 20th from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Additionally throughout the weekend they will have a variety of visual artists featured in the exhibits and will feature an array of performing artists.
