2024 is the Year Americans Finally Feel Good About the Economy
For the first time in long, long while, consumer outlook on the economy is taking a significant positive turn. It’s no secret that the pandemic wreaked havoc on the economy, and since 2020, U.S. consumers have reported their negative economic sentiment. It took almost four years, but for the last couple of months, this negative mood has been sharply turning around.
By the numbers: According to University of Michigan studies, since November of 2023, U.S. consumer sentiment has risen over 28%. Speculations are flying around to explain this sudden shift, including falling gas prices and a flourishing stock market. Regardless of the reason, economic positivity is a great way to greet 2024.
