Cloud Peak Energy Presents Award Ceremony
Cloud Peak Energy to serve as presenting sponsor of Wyoming Congressional Awards Ceremony & Gala
The Wyoming Congressional Award Council (WCAC) Board of Directors today announced that Cloud Peak Energy will serve as the organization’s presenting sponsor for the 2018 Wyoming Congressional Awards Ceremony and Recognition Gala.
“We are thankful for our partnership with Cloud Peak Energy,” noted WCAC Executive Director Trista Ostrom, “This donation will be used to support our greatest resource – our students. Working with our congressional delegation and Cloud Peak Energy, we are making an impact across the state of Wyoming.”
Cloud Peak Energy, and its predecessor companies, has been a supporting partner of the Wyoming Congressional Award Council since 1995.

The events will take place April 21-22, 2018 in Cheyenne, Wyoming and will kick off with a Recognition Gala & Fundraiser Saturday evening at Little America Hotel & Resort. Congressional Award Medalists, families and guests will enjoy dinner and dancing with evening entertainment provided by Chancey Williams and the Younger Brothers Band. The weekend wraps up at 11:00 a.m., Sunday morning with the annual Wyoming Congressional Award Ceremony at the Cheyenne Civic Center. Wyoming’s U.S. Senators Mike Enzi and John Barrasso, M.D., and U.S. House Representative Liz Cheney are scheduled to attend and present the awards.
