The community is one step closer to having a fun splash pad for downtown.
The Downtown Core is currently fundraising to adhere to their portion of private funds raised for the Splash Pad in downtown. This is a proposed downtown amenity which will be a “happiness solution” for the area by providing families a space to gather in the core of the community. Mid-February the City Council approved a resolution funding up to $250k of the project, with private investments of $300k making up the remaining needed amount for the full splash pad. The Core is currently accepting donations to make up the private investment side of the project.
