Governor Mead Proclaims Armed Forces Day
Today Governor Matt Mead proclaims today as Armed Forces Day for the State of Wyoming.
Hosted at the Cheyenne VA Medical Center was the proclamation for the State of Wyoming for Armed Forces Day. This celebration began in the 1950s to honor all of the branches of the Armed Forces. This event is made possible by the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Committee as a part of a series of Military May festivities.
“America would not be America with out the service of the men and women in our Armed Forces.” expressed Governor Matt Mead.
Armed Forces Day is focused on the service men and women who are currently serving, the veterans, all those who have sacrificed for our lives with their service, along with their families.
