Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce CEO, Dale Steenbergen, Reappointed to International Board of Directors

Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce President and CEO, Dale Steenbergen, wasreappointed to the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) Board of Directors.

The ACCE’s mission is to educate, certify and strengthen the skills Chamber Executives around the world. Steenbergen’s current term wrapped-up June of 2018, due to his strong leadership and contributions to the Board, the ACCE asked him to commit to a second Board of Directors term. He formally accepted the offer July 17^th, while attending the ACCE’s annual leadership conference in Des Moines, Iowa.

“I’m honored to once again represent Cheyenne, and our business community, at the national/international level,” Steenbergen said. “Serving two more years on the ACCE board will bring benefit to our Chamber, and its members, as we often implement successful national programs locally that continue making Cheyenne an even better place to live, work and do business.”

Steenbergen is an accredited Chamber of Commerce Executive and has led Chambers of Commerce in Oklahoma, Georgia and Wyoming for more than 30 years.

Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce board members say Steenbergen’s ACCE executive board role places the greater Cheyenne area and state of Wyoming both the international and national stage.

Earlier this year, Steenbergen was appointed to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Committee of 100 (CCC 100) an elite group of chamber executives that represents the perspectives and needs of chambers and their members to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Each year, CCC 100 members attend two executive retreats to evaluate leadership, policy, and best practices. The CCC 100 also identifies emerging issues that impact chambers and their members as well as advising the U.S. Chamber on programs and services for chambers on policy-related issues.
