Introducing Performing Arts to Cheyenne Youth
Ballet Wyoming brought to various Laramie County Schools a special visit from Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble.
Educating the youth within the greater Cheyenne area on various art forms and their impact on cultural and community vibrancy is a primary goal of Ballet Wyoming. Meadowlark, Jessup and Prairie Winds Elementary were visited by the company partnership and exposed hundreds of students to the excitement of performing arts.
The Wyoming dance company continues to provide these opportunities to the community. In the spring of 2018, Ballet Wyoming sponsored Ballet West and did outreach throughout schools. In addition to the school visits the dance company provides master classes to advance area dancer professional development. This opportunity is typically not provided to the area and is a regional resource to further the skills of area dancers.
Both companies, Ballet Wyoming and the Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble, will be performing at the Civic Center on Friday, September 14th. This is a way for families to continue the fun and further support the arts.
