Puma Steel Hosted Welding Competition

0 To kick off Manufacturing Day festivities, Puma Steel held a welding competition.
There were a total of 54 students who competed in the competition coming from 8 schools around the State of Wyoming. Award winners received scholarship money and can move on to the next level of the competition.
According to an article by the Wyoming Business Council, “Manufacturing is a $2.4 billion industry in Wyoming and accounts for 5.3 percent of the state’s gross domestic product. The industry is a key source of good-paying jobs – Wyoming’s 9,800 manufacturers average $64,600 in annual wages.”

- 3rd Place- Eric Engstrom- Rawlins HS (WY)
- 4th Place- Trevor Sorg- Douglas HS (WY)
- 5th Place- Erick Beltran- Rawlins HS (WY)
- 6th Place- Hayden Hancock- East HS (WY)
- 7th Place- Cody Gonzalez- Rawlins HS, (WY)
- 8th Place- Eric Butler- East HS (WY)
- 9th Place- Jackson Jeffers- Rawlins HS (WY)
- 10th Place- Levi Hawkins- Wiggin HS (CO)
- 11th Place- Colton Morre- Eaton HS (CO)
- 12th Place- Tristen Lungren- Worland HS (WY)
