Stephanie Benedict, South High School named LCSD #1 Student of the Week

Stephanie Benedict was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the Week of Oct. 29.

Stephanie is a senior at South High. She is very involved with Speech and Debate and has a challenging course load with several AP classes. Once she graduates from South, she plans on studying music therapy in college.

South wanted to choose a student that truly embodied all of the HERD values of being Honorable, Enthusiastic Responsible and Determined.

“Stephanie is involved in multiple AP courses and excels in all of them,” a South High staff member said. “She has a high GPA and is ranked 3rd in her class. She does this high level work while also being the co-president of Gay-straight Alliance (GSA), a member of Cheyenne Youth Symphony, Orchestra, Speech and debate, and volunteering at church. She is determined to be a successful and enthusiastic learner, a leader who leads by example, and a generous and kind spirit. I cannot recommend her highly enough.”
