Panera Bread Opening April 8th
Panera Bread has been on the radar of Cheyenne residents for a while now.
When the community finally got word they were planning to add a location in Cheyenne last year, it spread like wild fire. Then the property sat for a duration with little to no movement. The reason for this was some challenges with getting permitting because of storm-water drainage. A similar challenge Starbucks nearby experienced.
Their grand opening will include a special ribbon cutting with the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce Red Carpet Committee and will include giveaways for the first 200 customers on April 22nd. However, the restaurant will have a soft opening on April 8th. This was confirmed by the store manager, Athena Osgood. The managers for this Panera Bread have been preparing for Cheyenne’s opening by spending time at surrounding locations, mostly in Northern Colorado.
Panera Bread will be located in a building near the intersection of Dell Range and Windmill Road. It will occupy the western portion of the space with a Verizon store being their neighbor. Cheyenne’s Panera Bread will be one of 135 locations in the Manna Development Group. According to an article by the Wyoming Tribune Eagle, this Group will be hosting a hiring fair in Cheyenne this week because they are in need of 70 employees, both full-time and part-time. Those interested in the positions available are encouraged to submit their application in person at the trailer located in the front of the property.
