UW President Plans Transition to Faculty
The University of Wyoming announced today, Monday, March 25th, that current UW president Laurie Nichols will transition to a faculty position.
She will make this change after her three-year contract expires June 30th. She started as the University of Wyoming President back in May of 2016 and prior she served as the chief academic officer at South Dakota State University.
According to the same new release:
“The Board of Trustees is excited for future opportunities for the University of Wyoming, the state of Wyoming and its citizens,” UW Board of Trustees Chairman Dave True said in the release. “The board thanks President Nichols for her service and wishes her and her husband, Tim, well.”
UW Board of Trustees has not addressed whether or not they have begun a search for Nichols’s replacement.
