Start a Business in 54 Hours
Starting a business can sound like a daunting task but with resources like the Techstars Startup Weekend, it is made possible.
Everyone has watched Shark Tank and provided their critical input to the concepts being presented. This Techstars Startup Weekend is a time to explore business concepts and apply best practices in business in real-time to these ideas. It revolves around prototyping ideas presented during the “pitch session” and taking it through the whole process from idea to business. There are no limits to the types of businesses that can be explored during the sessions. In fact, the more ideas and diversity, the better!
Forward Greater Cheyenne Initiative Chair for Entrepreneurship, Sam Weinstein shared, “There’s a traditional western-spirit of innovation that flows thru Cheyenne. Events such like this give every individual, regardless of educational and professional background, the opportunity to dial in their entrepreneurial mindset. The “Techstars Startup Weekend” will enable all attendees to focus on the development of their ideas, their business, and our community as a whole.
“We are always trying to work with our partners to supply great resources for businesses. For economies to grow and advance we need to focus more strongly on local entrepreneurs and ‘grow our own,’ Programs like this allow for us to explore the talents and expertise which reside in our community, and we are ready to help them through their entrepreneurial journey.” expressed Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce Vice President, Stephanie Meisner-Maggard.
