Brandon Bennett was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of April 22.
As a Carey Junior High eighth-grade student, Bennett has distinguished himself from other students for his positive and encouraging interactions with adults and students. Academically, he has made great growth.
According to the nominating committee, he thrives in a leadership role and works diligently to get ahead in his education. Committee members said they selected Bennett because he is truly a student who is striving to be the best citizen that he can be.
“Brandon is always friendly and willing to lend a helping hand,” Carey teacher Anne-Marie Williams said. “He is kind and helpful to adults and helps his classmates, especially those less capable than him.”
During school, Bennett enjoys participating in his P.E. and theater classes. His extracurricular activities include horseback riding, karate, community art club and swimming.
