Downtown Cheyenne Asks for Your Participation in Completing their 2019 Upper Living Units Survey
In an effort to acquire information on the types of desired housing in Downtown Cheyenne, the Downtown Development Authority (DDA) requests your participation in a survey about upper living units within the district by Friday, May 24th.
The results of this survey will be shared with property owners of existing buildings who are interested in developing apartments and condos on the upper floors of their buildings. The information obtained from the survey will help make the case for investment in the development of upper floor housing in downtown.
For an opportunity to see some of the housing options that are currently available in downtown Cheyenne, join the DDA on Sunday, May 19th from 1pm to 4 pm for a free, self-guided tour that is open to the public. The DDA has partnered with the Cheyenne Historic Preservation Board to bring you “Livin’ It Up in Downtown”, as one of several events to celebrate National Historic Preservation Month.
The tour will feature a variety of downtown housing options to help raise awareness of, and interest in, living downtown. At each tour location, guide books that include a map, addresses and descriptions of the tour residences will be available. Property owners, tenants and volunteers will also be available to answer questions.
Four downtown residential units will be featured on this year’s tour including the second floor apartment above the Lincoln Theater, The Kreuzer Sheet Metal Shop apartment located at 304 W 15th St, the GOP Building apartment at 1714 Capitol Avenue and an in progress project (Dinneen Lotus Townhomes) on the corner of West 17th Street and O’Neil Avenue.
