Military Invited to Free BBQ on Armed Forces Day This Saturday
All Currently Serving Military Members and Their Families Can Enjoy a Free Lunch
The Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Committee (MAC) is hosting a Military Appreciation BBQ presented by High West Energy this Saturday, May 18th from 10:00am to 2:00pm. The BBQ will be held at High West Energy’s Cheyenne Service Center located at 3302 I-80 Service Rd. (north of I-80 at exit 370). The event takes place as America celebrates Armed Forces Day, a nationally recognized celebration always on the third Saturday in May.
This free BBQ is an annual event hosted by the MAC and is a token of appreciation to those currently serving and defending our country. There will be hamburgers, hot dogs, wings from Wing Shack and plenty of family friendly activities including face painting by Crossed Eyed Designs, balloon twisting by Alpacaglobo Balloons, a bounce house and lots of yard games.
Admission is free to all currently serving military personnel and their families, just present your military i.d. at the door. The event is also open to the public, so those who are not actively serving in the military, but want to come out and thank those in uniform, admission is just $10 per person (ages 1o and under are free). The High West Energy Service Center building features a large indoor space as well as outdoors, so the BBQ will take place rain or shine.
