Rocky Mountain Power names new Vice President
Rocky Mountain Power has hired Cheyenne business executive, Sharon Fain, to serve as the electric utility’s vice president for Wyoming.
She will begin her new position July 1. Fain will oversee Rocky Mountain Power’s Wyoming state business plan, directing customer and community relations, and supporting regulatory and legislative activities.
Fain is former CEO of WyBrand Strategies, a Cheyenne-based consulting firm and has professional experience in small business, economic development and media relations.
She completed her undergraduate studies at Georgia State University and is currently enrolled in the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, Executive Education program.
“I’m proud to join an organization dedicated to Wyoming and committed to its energy future,” Fain said. “The utility industry is facing a number of challenges and I look forward to contributing solutions and representing Rocky Mountain Power’s valued Wyoming customers and employees.”
“We are delighted that Sharon is joining our Wyoming team. She has already provided great value as part of our $3.1 billion Energy Vision 2020 initiative in Wyoming,” said Gary Hoogeveen, Rocky Mountain Power president and CEO. “Sharon brings a wealth of experience and a solid understanding of Wyoming issues to her new role with the company.”
“I am excited to see Sharon step up and into the role,” said Rita Meyer, who has held the vice president position for seven years. “Sharon is the right person with the right capabilities and experience for the job.”
Meyer will transition her career to Director, Wyoming Investments. Her new responsibilities will focus on new large infrastructure projects in the state of Wyoming.
“Rita has been, and remains, a tremendous asset to our company. We are pleased that she will continue supporting us in Wyoming in her new role,” said Hoogeveen.
Fain and Meyer will maintain offices in Cheyenne.
