To Have and Have Another: A Hemingway Cocktail Companion!
The Cheyenne Symphony Friends invites the community to an evening of Hemingway-inspired cocktails and heavy appetizers that no one will won’t want to miss!
Join acclaimed Hemingway scholar and author, Phillip Greene, for cocktails and stories about Hemingway’s life and his connections to Wyoming, at the historic Atlas Theatre on Friday, September 27th at 5:30pm.
The evening’s menu is reminiscent of a night of literature and liquor with Papa himself:
- Hemingway Daiquiri paired with shrimp ceviche and tortilla chips
- Montgomery Martini paired with salmon pate on crustini and pickled melons and beets
- Mint Julep paired with Lamb lollipop and perogi
- Gin, Lemon and Strawberries paired with involtini prosciutto with arugula and fresh mozzarella, and strawberry with balsamic glaze
- Coffee paired with Chocolate Cake
Our Host for the evening, Phillip Green, is an attorney, writer and cocktail historian. Philip is the author of three
successful books: To Have and Have Another – A Hemingway Cocktail Companion, The Manhattan: The Story of
the First Modern Cocktail and A Drinkable Feast: A Cocktail Companion to 1920s Paris. He is also one of the
founders of the Museum of the American Cocktail in New Orleans.
This event is the annual fundraiser presented by the Symphony Friends, an organization of passionate and
dedicated volunteers who support the Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra’s mission by raising funds and sharing their
time and talent to support Symphony initiatives.
This is the perfect event to prepare you for CSO’s season opening concert, Spirit of the West, which includes Zuill
Bailey’s performance of Tales of Hemingway. It also ties into Wyoming’s statewide celebration of Hemingway in
Wyoming.
