Author Joe Posnanski to Headline Annual Booklovers Bash
On Friday, October 18, award-winning sportswriter, New York Times best-selling author, blogger, and podcaster Joe Posnanski will headline the Laramie County Library Foundation’s annual Booklovers Bash in Little America Hotel & Resort’s Grand Ballroom.
Posnanski has written for Sports Illustrated, The Athletic, MLB.com and NBC Sports; he has authored five sports-related books, and received numerous awards for his works. During the event, Posnanski will be showcasing his newest book, The Life and Afterlife of Harry Houdini, which is due for release by Simon & Schuster on October 22, but will be available for purchase to all attendees.
Along with Joe Posnanski’s presentation, the annual event will include a plated dinner, silent auction, live auction, and the ever-popular Dessert Dash. All proceeds raised from the event will enable the Laramie County Library Foundation to continue supporting the Laramie County Library System in providing exceptional programming that enriches the lives of individuals and families throughout the entire county.
Individual reservations may be made for $85 and an eight person table may be reserved for $800. The reception and silent auction begin at 5:30 p.m., with dinner, live auction, and Joe Posnanski’s presentation to follow.
