Big O Tires of Cheyenne Gives Hardworking Single Mom Refurbished Car
Big O Tires of Cheyenne, a family owned and community-focused automotive shop, celebrated Mother’s Day by continuing its yearly tradition of presenting a single mother in the community with a refurbished car. The 2017 car giveaway took place at a special ceremony on Thursday, May 11, where Ashley Sullivan was the recipient of a refurbished 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe.
“We received more than 60 nominations for incredible single moms in Cheyenne,” said Jack Floyd, owner of Big O Tires of Cheyenne. “It was a difficult choice, but after reading the powerful nominations submitted by Ashley’s friends and family, we knew we had made the right decision.”
Sullivan is a single mother of two children and has faced much adversity in her life, but these obstacles have never prevented her from serving her children and community to the fullest. According to those who nominated her, Sullivan spends each day performing random acts of kindness – giving up her lunch to feed a homeless individual, opening her home up to friends who fell on tough times, finding a way to throw a spectacular birthday for her children even though she could barely afford to do so, among many more.
Without a vehicle, it was a daily struggle for Sullivan to pick up her children from school, find a ride to work every day and run errands. Receiving the refurbished vehicle allows her to eliminate the stress caused by lack of transportation.
In conjunction with Affordable Towing, Townsquare Media and Bullhide 4×4 Auto Accessories, this is the third year that Big O Tires has been able to help a single mother in the community. Not only did Big O Tires present Sullivan with the Santa Fe, but they also gifted her with free routine automotive services for the next year.
