Rotary Youth Exchange Welcomes International Students
Cheyenne has welcomed two international high school students through Rotary Youth Exchange this year.
Both students are excited about their exchange here, are well-adjusted with English skills, and are already loved by their first host families. The Rotary Club of Cheyenne is seeking additional families to host international exchange students and invites you to be part of their exchange experience. This program helps promote international understanding and enriches the lives of families across the community.
Any caring family interested in hosting a young person from another country can be a host family.
• Host families come in all shapes and sizes. These families can be single parents, never parents, same-sex parents, parents with or without children living at home.
• Families do not need to be affiliated with Rotary to host Rotary Exchange Students. Host families will have to pass a background check.
• Host families are not reimbursed or paid for their efforts.
• Families are responsible to provide room and board for the student, as you would for your own children. Students go to school, participate in family activities, and have responsibilities around the house just as other family members.
• Rotary Youth Exchange provides exchange families and host families with the ongoing support and training they need to ensure that everyone has a successful experience.
Rotary is a global network of 1.2 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves. Rotary Club of Cheyenne has been part of this network, serving Cheyenne, for over 100 years.
