Local Businesses Celebrate Women’s Leadership
Alexis Drake, 307 1/2 West Lincolnway, has celebrated 150 years of Women’s Suffrage with a commemorative design this year.
Wyoming’s iconic Bucking Horse and Rider – or “Steamboat” – is traced back to as early as 1918. Wyoming is popularly known as the “Cowboy State,” in part because of the use of the bucking bronco as its symbol.
In honor of women’s suffrage, Lexi Garrett, owner of Alexis Drake, put her own spin on this design. Her bucking horse features a cowgirl on a variety of Alexis Drake branded merchandise. ShortGo’s live video highlighted Garrett’s store where the logo was crafted. This design has adorned handcrafted hats and handbags in the shop.
Alexis Drake is also a participant in this year’s Shop Small Business Saturday scheduled on Saturday, November 30th. They will have a free gift with any purchase through the weekend and they will be having Re.Style handbags available too. Business interested in participating can also signup to participate HERE.
