“Shop Small” Business Saturday Guide for November 30th

An average of 67 cents of every dollar spent at a small business in the U.S. ends up staying in that local community according to the Shop Small Consumer Impact Survey from American Express.
The Shop Small Business Saturday initiative was started by American Express in 2009. It was designed to bring awareness to the importance of supporting locally owned and/or operated businesses. Since 2013 the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce has been a neighborhood champion for the “Shop Local” campaign. The organization rallies business participation and spreads the word about the upcoming offerings. This year’s Shop Small Business Saturday is on November 30th. There are a variety of retailers and businesses participating.
“Local businesses in the community are offering discounts, specials, deals and reveals on the BIG day of Saturday, November 30th.” expressed Vice President of the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce, Stephanie Meisner-Maggard. “This annual campaign is a helpful tool to remind our shoppers the importance of shopping locally and we want this behavior to span beyond Shop Small Business Saturday but be a part of what we do as community members.”
With the participation of local craft shows and vendor events, the Shop Small Business Saturday will have over 100 participating businesses. This makes the 2019 Shop Small Business Saturday the largest yet.
