Alice In Wonderland for Families to Enjoy

Ballet Wyoming is offering 3 performances of “Alice In Wonderland.”
Under the artistic direction of Cheyenne local, Tiffany Erickson, the Alice In Wonderland production features local professional dancers. All of the shows will be hosted at the newly restored Historic Atlas Theater in downtown Cheyenne starting April 27th. Ballet Wyoming is the first professional ballet company to reside in the State of Wyoming. Their portfolio includes large storybook ballets like Cinderella, Wizard of Oz and Peter Pan, as well as performance with a twist like the Rock Ballet. What makes the upcoming performance of Alice In Wonderland unique is how each character comes to life with both costuming and movement. Attendees will be transported into a world of fantasy.
“Begin the unexpected journey into a whole new realm with Ballet Wyoming’s Alice in Wonderland. Be transported to an evening of vibrant music and motion. Beneath its surface blend of fantasy, nonsense, outlandish characters, this ballet creates a vivid dream world, an irresistible blend, especially for children.” shared Ballet Wyoming Director, Barb Sandick.
Performances:
- Friday, April 26th at 7 p.m.
- Saturday, April 27th at 2 p.m. & 7 p.m.
- Ballet Wyoming introduces you to the Tweedles! Twins. First to quarrel, then to conspire, these two ‘sisters’ reek havoc in poor Alice’s wonderland world. How does the battle end?
- Get to know Hatter! He is a very neurotic and—dare we say—a hyper-active fellow. He is sincere in his eccentric mannerisms. He is a very gracious host who is forever trapped in a tea party that—seemingly—never ends. Is he really “Mad” though? Eccentric? Yes. Unorthodox in his mannerisms? Yes. Mad? Very likely.
- Knave. He’s fairest in the land; strong, quick-witted, charming. Knave is the antidote for the Queen’s insatiable rage. He is every maidens dreamboat guy, but no one dares to come near him for fear of losing their head. Does the Knave keep his?
