Annual Fire Truck Pull to Benefit Special Olympics Wyoming
Annual Fire Truck Pull for Special Olympics Wyoming raises funds for local athletes.
Are you tough enough? The Law Enforcement Torch Run is hosting its Fire Truck Pull to benefit Special Olympics Wyoming, and everyone is invited to compete.
Each team of 10 pays a $250 entrance fee. You can pay a basic entrance fee or set up a First-Giving page to collect pledges. The proceeds stay in the state of Wyoming, helping local athletes with travel expenses and equipment costs for area, regional and state Special Olympic competitions.
Here’s how it works: Teams of 10 will compete to pull a fire truck twenty-five feet in the fastest time, divisions will be determined by weight and the winner is based strictly on time.
“Pulling a fire truck sounds easy in theory – until it comes time to move the 55,000 pound truck!” said event organizer, Adam Wright. “It’s always surprising to see who the winning team is, and it’s nice to see everyone come together to cheer each other on during a friendly competition.”
You can register now or the day of the event. The Fire Truck Pull is on Saturday, August 25th in the Hobby Lobby parking lot, 1840 Dell Range Blvd. Registration starts at 9:00 am and the pull will start at 10:00 am.
