Annual Tip-A-Cop brings awareness, raises funds for Special Olympics
Tip-A-Cop is an annual event put on by the Wyoming Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Wyoming. The money raised at this event stays in Wyoming and is used to provide Special Olympic athletes with uniforms, travel expenses, and housing during area and state games. Tip-A-Cop happens across the state of Wyoming, and Cheyenne’s event will take place
at Texas Roadhouse, 1931 Bluegrass Circle, on Friday June 8th through Sunday June 10th.
Law Enforcement from across Laramie County will come together with Special Olympic athletes to serve tables at Texas Roadhouse. 100% of the “special tips” the public donates will go directly to Special Olympics.
Donnie Heiduck, Area 3 Co-Coordinator says “This is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year and one of the most fun. We’d like to invite the whole community to come out and support this great cause.”
Officers and athletes will be serving tables at Texas Roadhouse from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
