FREE lunch at Armed Forces Celebration Event – Saturday, May 20th
Honor and support the military men and women that have or currently serve our country.
President Harry S. Truman led the effort to establish a single holiday for citizens to come together and thank our military members for their patriotic service in support of our country.*
On August 31, 1949, Secretary of Defense Louis Johnson announced the creation of an Armed Forces Day to replace separate Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Air Force Days.*
The single day celebration stemmed from the unification of the Armed Forces under the Department of Defense.*
Join the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce and the Military Affairs Committee as they celebrate and honor our armed forces. The Armed Forces Celebration, presented by RPO Associates, CPA’s LLC and KFBC 1240 will be held at the Cheyenne VA Medical Center on Saturday, May 20th, from 10am to 2pm. There will be fun for the whole family.
This event is FREE to the public, and lunch will be provided.
Due to the weather the event to be moved inside. Please enter from one of two locations at the Cheyenne VA Medical Center, 2360 E Pershing Blvd.
