Attempted Robbery
On Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at approximately 2139 hrs. Deputies from the Laramie County Sheriffs Department responded to the Taco Johns at 101 South Greeley Highway on the report of a robbery.
When deputies arrived employees from the Taco Johns were no longer in a back room as it was initially reported to Dispatch. It was reported by employees that a male walked into the establishment using the north door. The male approached the counter and ordered some food. The male was standing to the side of the front counter when he displayed an aluminum bat from the sleeve of the hooded sweatshirt he was wearing. The male demanded he be given the money from the cash drawer. The employee at the cash register told the male they needed to go to the back room to push a button. At that time the employee was able to tell another employee they were being robbed. It was a short time later the male with the bat left the store. No money was taken from the store and no one was hurt.
The male was described as a Hispanic male, 5’06”, wearing a blue hoody sweatshirt, dark pants, scraggly beard and possible a small scar on his lower left lip.
