Big O Tires of Cheyenne Gives Hardworking Single Mom Refurbished Car for Mother’s Day
Big O Tires of Cheyenne, a locally owned and community-focused automotive shop, celebrated Mother’s Day by presenting a local mother with a refurbished vehicle.
The 2018 car giveaway took place at a special ceremony on Thursday, May 10, where Toni Vavra was given a 2007 Chevy Malibu.
“We received numerous nominations for so many outstanding single moms in Cheyenne,” said Jack Floyd, owner of Big O Tires of Cheyenne. “It was a difficult choice, but after hearing Toni’s story, it was clear she should be the winner.”
Toni was nominated by three people, all of whom shared her touching story and the hardships she has gone through as a single mother. She has four children, two of whom have Down syndrome, which has led to many doctor visits and complications throughout the years. But these medical difficulties have never put a damper on the joy her children brought her. After having one biological child who has Down syndrome, she adopted another child with Down syndrome and has lovingly cared for him and his medical needs. The reliable car she received will provide her with a safe way to drive to Denver for appointments on a regular basis.
Several businesses made this heartwarming giveaway possible. In addition to Big O Tires providing the necessary repairs and routine maintenance for a year, Affordable Towing provided the car, NAPA Auto Parts donated the parts needed to fix the car, TO Shrivel and Diamond Detailing detailed the car to make it presentable, Lock Shop donated locks and keys, and Townsquare Media served as the media sponsor.
Big O Tires would also like to thank the following generous businesses for donating gift certificates for Toni and her family: Wyoming Rib & Chop House, Julie’s Career Closet, Plato’s Closet, The Paramount Café and Hacienda Guadalajara.
