Bitcoin & Blockchain Legislation
The first Tuesday of each month business professionals from across the city and varied industries meet to discuss current issues that affect businesses.
On January 9th, Holland & Hart hosted the meeting of the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce’s Action & Advocacy Committee.
One of the topics for January’s meeting was Bitcoin and Blockchain. Having professionals from banking, accounting and legal industries, along with others, allows those in this committee to share their area of expertise to better educate the group as a whole. This works to create an environment where the group serves better than the individual.
According to the Wyoming Blockchain Coalition, industries positively impacted by adoption of blockchain technology include accounting, financial services, legal services, land title, licensing and permits, and many others.
There is proposed legislation that may assist with Wyoming’s race against Delaware to be the country’s leader in Bitcoin and Blockchain technology. Visit the Chamber’s website for legislative updates.
Join the conversation at the next Action & Advocacy Committee meeting on Tuesday, February 6 at 11:46 a.m. at the 2nd floor boardroom of the Historic Depot with Dr. Larry Meuli as the host.
