Border War Rivals vs Carbon Dioxide
Governor Mark Gordon and Governor Jared Polis have announced that Wyoming and Colorado signed a memorandum of understanding to work collaboratively on direct air capture (DAC). This joint effort will focus on reducing carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Both states have complementary policies, infrastructures, workforces, and geologies in place that will help make this a successful venture. Wyoming and Colorado hope that this collaboration will create procedures and policies to help solve this issue, not just for the two states, but for the world as a whole.
Why it matters: This venture will benefit our Wyoming community in a few ways:
- More jobs created
- Boosted economy
- Reduced carbon dioxide in the atmosphere
