Caleb Brewer, a seventh-grade student at Johnson Junior High, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of March 25.
Caleb is an “A” student in all of his honors classes. He is part of the percussion band, is a member of the football team, the swim team and belongs to STARBASE Academy’s 12–18 FIRST Robotics team.
He qualified for state swimming in all his events and is a member of the state math team. Outside of school, Caleb volunteers for Special Olympics, at his church and helped organize a warm clothing drive to acquire items for those in need during the cold, Wyoming winter.
Caleb plans to become a special education teacher and/or work with people who have disabilities. In addition, he would like to develop technologies and modalities for them.
“Of all these wonderful academic and athletic achievements, perhaps the most impressive is that Caleb actively volunteers,” Johnson Junior High Principal Brian Cox said.
