CFD Dandies Celebrate 50 Years
2020 will mark the 50th year of the Cheyenne Frontier Days Dandies. The Dandies of the “Daddy of ’em All” serve as good will ambassadors for the world’s largest outdoor rodeo celebration. They work to promote CFD, the traditions of the West, and the sport of Rodeo.
According to the CFD website, the Dandies represent Cheyenne Frontier Days at rodeos, fairs and other celebrations throughout the Rocky Mountain Region visiting a total of nine states. During the ten days of Frontier Days they attend the Coronation Ball, the Western Art Show and Sale, the Pancake Breakfasts, and the USAF Thunderbird Aerial Demonstration. In addition, they participate in each of the four downtown parades, nine rodeo performances and eight night shows.
The CFD Dandies will be hosting a tryout clinic Saturday, September 28th at 2:00 pm. Dandy tryouts will be held Sunday, September 29th at 9:00 a.m. in the CFD Arena.
