Chamber Leaders visit with Representatives from Hill AFB about GBSD.

Chamber leaders visited with representatives from Hill AFB this week about GBSD.  GBSD stands for Ground Based Strategic Deterrent.  In simple terms GBSD is the upgrade for the Minute Man 3 system that is currently deployed at Warren AFB.  The upgrade of the nuclear deterrent mission is important to Cheyenne and to the defense of our country.  Your Chamber of Commerce is working hard to insure that the program continues to move forward so that our economy and our nation are protected effectively.

Three companies are being considered for the GBSD upgrade project.  Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and Northrop Grumman.  Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman have met with the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce and community business partners.
