Cheyenne Wheels for Charity Car Unveiled
The Cheyenne Wheels for Charity Car was formally unveiled to the public at the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce Annual Banquet Awards event over the weekend.
Prior to uncovering, the audience sat eagerly to witness the restoration work of Midas of Cheyenne. This was also made possible through contributions from NAPA Autoparts, Tom the Tire Man, Northern Colorado Driveline, Cheyenne Auto & Metal and Halladay Motors. Glistening because of the paint’s shimmering flecks, the 1942 fully restored Ford Coupe popped against the backdrop with its vibrant purple color. The car was actually a chicken coop when it was found by Nick Dodgson, the founder of Cheyenne Wheels for Charity.
Here is the restoration breakdown:
- Highly modified 85 Dodge Dakota frame
- 8.8 inch rear axle with 4.11 gears
- Up front a mid 2000s Ford modular 4.6 V8 backed by a 4R70W overdrive trans
- All work including full custom interior done by Midas of Cheyenne
