Christmas Dreams Come True
A Dream From Five Years Earlier
On Thursday, December 20, 2018, the Unaccompanied Students Initiative had their dream from five years earlier come true. In the 2013 meeting, listening to homeless teenagers in Laramie County, the need of a home was the dream of the teenagers and the staff.
The staff asked the question, “How are we going to get a house for these kids?”
The answer: Ed Ernste and Monument Homebuilders, Inc.
A home, the Natalie House, was donated by Monument Homebuilders, Inc. This home will now house five homeless students in the Laramie County area. The Unaccompanied Students Intitiative’s mission is to provide a safe, stable home for high school students, ages 16-20 experiencing homelessness. Their goal is to have a residence in each of the Cheyenne triads. Part of this mission and goal was realized today.
