CPD to Provide Active Shooter Training
Police and Community Together
On October 4, the Cheyenne Police Department will host a training on what citizens can do in the event of an active shooter situation. The half-hour training will incorporate current best practices to help citizens understand how they can keep themselves safe in an active shooter situation, whether in the workplace or a crowded public space. A public meeting for the CPD’s advisory group, Police and Community Together, will take place immediately after the training and those who attend the training are encouraged to stay for the meeting and learn how they can be a part of the group.
The training will be held at the Cheyenne Public Safety Center, 415 W. 18th St. on Thursday, October 4, from 5:30-6:00 p.m. Those planning to attend do not need to sign up in advance.
