On the third episode of Diamonds in the Rough, you’ll hear Alexandra (Alli) McGee tell her side of the story.
On the second episode, our guest was Jessica Martin. Alli is Jessica’s daughter. Alli is 22 years old, a veterinarian assistant and wife. She and her husband are enjoying their new home.
Alli tells her story of surviving physical and sexual abuse by her stepfather from the ages of 13 to 18. In Alli’s own words, she says, “After what seemed forever of FBI questioning and court hearings he was finally sentenced to prison. I want to share my story because as much as people would like to think this doesn’t happen…it happens a lot. Since this happened, I have had many family and friends come to me and tell me this happened to them in the past as well. I want others to know that there is a way to break free and that you won’t be trapped forever. People will listen and will stand with you. There is a light at the end of the tunnel.”
