Don’t Miss Your Chance to Compete at the Wyoming Senior Olympics
There’s still time to register to compete in the Wyoming Senior Olympics (WSO) slated to take place in Cheyenne, August 8th-10th.
Registration is open to athletes 50 years and older as of December 31, 2018. The games feature 18 sports including swimming, track and field, pickleball, tennis, golf, and so much more.
Go to www.wyseniorolympics.com and click on the “Registration” link and follow the instructions. Payment will be in the form of a credit card on a secure site. Upon completion of the registration, you will receive emails confirming your events and a receipt for fees paid. Online registration is strongly encouraged; however, paper applications are available at the Laramie County Senior Center (2101 Thomes Ave.) or at the David R. Romero Youth Activity and Community Center (1317 Parsley Blvd.) or by calling 307-638-4375. Registration deadline is set for Friday, July 19th.
The WSO will be held in Cheyenne August 8th-10th, with an anticipated 500 athletes competing from across the country. The 2020 games – also hosted in Cheyenne – will serve as a qualifier to compete at the National Senior Games in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 2021.
