Dracula Ballet Recognized as Regional Collaboration
Ballet Wyoming is presenting a ballet with a bite this October with the Dracula Ballet, The Legend In Motion.
Ballet Wyoming has been known for its local storybook ballets from Wizard of Oz and Peter Pan to the most recent Alice in Wonderland. They will perform an original twist on Bram Stoker’s masterwork, Dracula. The show features choreography by Jennifer Deckert, University of Wyoming Associate Professor of Dance, music composed and performed by Sean Stone, University of Wyoming Assistant Lecturer of Musical Theater and under the production Ballet Wyoming’s Artistic Director, Tiffany Erikson. The local talent contributing to the Dracula Ballet makes it a much anticipated Southeast Wyoming Regional collaboration.
Performances are scheduled for October 25th, 26th & 27th.
According to the Ballet Wyoming Director, Barbara Sandick, “The production portrays the wonder, desire and terror of the original novel in a story of passion and courage that takes audience members from the mystery-shrouded depths of Transylvania to the stylishly steampunked streets of London.”
All performances will be held at the newest Downtown Restaurant, The Metropolitan in the Gallery at 1701 Carey Avenue. Tickets are $25.
