East High Grad Makes CFD History
Third time is the charm! History was made in the Cheyenne Frontier Days stadium this afternoon – Brody Cress has broken a CFD record.
The Cheyenne East High School graduate is the first saddle bronc rider to win not one, not two, but three straight titles at the “Daddy of ’em All.” Cress is also the second competitor to ever win three straight titles in any event.
Cress was paired with horse, Lunatic, yesterday and scored an 88.5 in the semi-finals.
The Hillsdale, Wyoming, cowboy has shown time after time how resilient and dedicated to this sport he is. He broke his ankle last August and still competed in the 2018 National Finals Rodeo after not riding for four months with his ankle only 70% healed.
Cress stated, “there’s so much electricity in the air, and that’s just the feeling you chase, and that’s why it’s so addicting to get on bucking horses. It’s awesome and refreshing to come out here and feel that every year.”
Congratulations to all Cheyenne Frontier Days Champions today – another fantastic CFD is in the books.
