East High Students to Present “Sense and Sensibility”
(Cheyenne, WY) April 27 and 28 at 7:00, take a trip to the late 1700’s. England comes to Cheyenne in East High School’s Auditorium when the Theatre 2 and 3 Classes perform Sense and Sensibility by Kate Hamill. This playful new adaptation of Jane Austen’s beloved novel follows the fortunes (and misfortunes) of the Dashwood sisters—sensible Elinor and hypersensitive Marianne—after their father’s sudden death leaves them financially destitute and socially vulnerable. Starring Kristin Downs as Elinor Dashwood and Kenzie Merritt as Marianne Dashwood, the show is brilliant blend of romanticism and realism. Christina Zarr, the theatre teacher and coach at East for the past four years will direct.
