Exclusive Screening of A Ballerina’s Tale

0 Ballet Wyoming will screen A Ballerina’s Tale – The Rise of Misty Copeland at the historic Atlas Theatre at 6 p.m.on Saturday, February 24.
There will be a cash bar, gourmet concession food, and special drawings for dance goodies. What makes this artist event different is, all proceeds from the event will help Ballet Wyoming continue the mission to provide premier dance events, master classes, and more community outreach event. The featured film is a documentary which shares the story of ballerina Misty Copeland. She actually started her dance career at a local Boys & Girls Club. She will go down in history for being the first African-American woman named principal dancer of the American Ballet Theater.
This experience is unique to the greater Cheyenne area and region, the documentary is a way to expose the community and particularly the youth to the incredible career opportunities. Along with revealing the hard work and talent that has to exist to overcome adversity and challenges. It will be an evening of inspiration and how fitting to have it hosted in a historic gem of Cheyenne which houses local community theatre, the Atlas.
