Flush with Funding – Wyoming Sewer Systems to be Upgraded

The EPA has announced that Wyoming will receive grant funding of $248,000 to help communities address stormwater and sewer infrastructure needs. This grant money is part of the $50 million Sewer Overflow and Stormwater Reuse Municipal Grant Program within the Biden-Harris Administration Investing in America agenda.
WY We Care: Laramie County, and many other parts of our state, have seen a summer full of rain storms with near-daily flood warnings. Wyoming towns don’t have the sewage infrastructure in place to handle mass stormwater amounts. Stormwater is also a large source of water pollution, and can collect things like trash and oils and carry them over to waterways. This funding will allow for a better-equipped sewer infrastructure that can handle heavy rains.
