Have you seen the new iron on the runway?

The Boeing Helicopter is in Cheyenne, Wyoming and is a featured element of the Guard’s open house today.

According to Jim Schell of the Cheyenne Regional Airport, “It is manufactured by a company called Agusta Westland. It’s an AW139 Model and Boeing does the militarization of the aircraft, which means they outfit it with the various components that the military user requires.”

Currently the helicopter is touring around because Boeing is competing for a government contract to replace the UH-1 “Huey” helicopter for the military. Having new air-frames in Cheyenne is always exciting and a great opportunity to the community.
