JAX Mercantile Company Headed to Cheyenne
JAX Mercantile Company announced they are officially headed to Cheyenne.
In 1981, Sears was the first retail store to locate at the new Frontier Mall in Cheyenne. In early 2018, the iconic store shut its doors after operating in the space for 37 years. Since then, the Sears building has remained vacant, but an exciting new addition will revitalize the store front this year. JAX Mercantile Company will move into the old Sears building – with a soft opening this Fall and a grand opening in the Spring. According to JAX’s Facebook page, the store will be a combination of Outdoor Gear and Farm & Ranch shops. Mayor Marian Orr also welcomed JAX to the community and confirmed their opening over the weekend on Twitter.
JAX was founded in 1955 and currently has stores in Fort Collins, Loveland, Lafayette and Broomfield, Colorado as well as Ames, Iowa. The company aims to provide an exceptional and diverse assortment of high quality products at fair prices every day while making positive contributions to communities and working to minimize the company’s impact on the environment.
