Laramie County Library Hosts Last Satellite Early Voting Opportunity
The Laramie County Clerk has partnered with the Laramie County Library to offer Primary Election satellite early voting and registration on Sunday, Aug. 4, in the library’s Cottonwood Room from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. This is the last satellite voting opportunity prior to the Aug. 20 Primary Election.
New registrants and currently registered voters are reminded to bring their Wyoming driver’s license. If they do not have a Wyoming license, other government-issued identification, such the Wyoming ID, Wyoming public school or college student ID, tribal ID, driver’s license from another state, valid U.S. passport, or U.S. military card are accepted. Applicants for registration who do not possess a Wyoming license are required to provide the last four digits of their social security number.
County Clerk Debra Lee noted that Monday, Aug. 5, is the deadline to register ahead of the Aug. 20 Primary Election. Lee said the purpose of the registration deadline is to give county clerks time to prepare their voter lists for the coming election.
Lee noted that those who miss the Aug. 5 registration deadline are still able to register and vote on the same day during early voting or at the polls on Primary Election Day.
Early voting and registration is available through Aug. 19 in the atrium of the Laramie County Governmental Complex, 309 W. 20th St., Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Absentee mail ballots for the Primary and General Elections may be requested by calling the Clerk’s election office at 633-4242 or emailing election@laramiecountywy.gov and providing their name, residential and mailing addresses, date of birth, the political party with which they are registered, and whether they want ballots for the Primary, General or both elections.
