Laramie County School District 1 Student of the Week
Alyvia Hardy, who is an eighth-grade student at Carey Junior High, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of Sept. 23.
According to members of the nominating committee, Hardy is an exemplary student and earns top grades.
Hardy is enrolled in Honors Algebra 1 and Spanish, which are both high school level courses. She is always willing to work hard to help anyone and she is an all-around great person.
A daily class participant, Hardy never shies away from going up to the front of the room to explain a class assignment to her fellow students.
Hardy also participates in extracurricular activities. She’s a member of Carey’s girls’ basketball team. In addition, she plays club volleyball and softball and studies dance.
She is a member of National Junior Honor Society and is excited to begin volunteering. She hopes to volunteer at an animal rescue once she is in high school.
“Alyvia is a fantastic student and an influential leader to her peers,” a Carey Junior High staff member said. “We think that she is an excellent representative from Carey as Student of the Week.”
