LCCC Public Relations Team was Nationally Recognized
The National Council for Marketing and Public Relations presented four awards to the Laramie County Community College public relations team at its annual conference last week.
The team received awards in three different categories: gold, or first place, for a microsite designed for student recruitment; silver for photography and the college foundation’s annual report; and bronze for another recognition in photography.
This is the first time the LCCC team has won these national awards since 2012. The four awards puts LCCC near the top for the most honors given to any single institution this year.
This year’s competition received thousands of entries from colleges across North America. Honors are given in such categories as advertising, design, writing, campaigns, and digital media.
NCMPR is the only organization of its kind that exclusively represents marketing and public relations professionals at community and technical colleges, including 650 institutions in the U.S. and Canada. It is an affiliate of the American Association of Community Colleges.
